He was born in Lancaster, PA on June 18, 1937 a son of Andrew & Margaret Bechtold Killian. The family eventually moved to the Central New York area. One of Guys most memorable jobs was working on the Eisenhower Lock in the late 1950’s. He later retired from a 35 year career with the Oswego County Highway Department as an Equipment Operator. One of his hobbies was to reclaim bicycles and rebuild them for his nieces, nephews and others. He was a ‘metal’ collector, loved gardening, working with his flowers, playing with his tractor, his three-wheeler, his four-wheeler and simply spending time outdoors.

Dan owned and operated the Killian Dairy Farm on Burt Road in Gansevoort and was a cattle dealer for many years. He was a member of the NFO , the Saratoga County Farm Bureau and the NYS Cattle Dealers Association. He even continued to buy and sell cows, in his sleep, during his final days. He had a dry sense of humor and was know for his Dannyism’s, especially Dan’s one-liner, “Helloke.” Nothing made him happier than attending cattle auctions and spending time with his friends. Clyde took great care of his family and loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much.
His special places to hunt were the Owens farm and the Davison farm. He had the eyes of an eagle and the stealth of a wolf. He literally would chase animals down and catch them. He loved sports especially playing softball. He loved trying to beat his dad, Aunt Sonya and Uncle Cheyenne at pool. He was more than a just a nephew, son, cousin, grandson, friend.

She was predeceased by a sister Shirley Draper, Lee Center. She was born in Pyrites (St. Lawrence County, NY) on May 30, 1937, daughter of Harry and Bernice DeCarr Hoffman. Patricia grew up in Port Leyden and graduated from Port Leyden High School in 1955. She was united in marriage with William Jackson on June 25, 1960 at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden.
